Description
This 40’ standard box car with single door and no roofwalk is green with yellow lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in the late 1940s and painted box car red, it was rebuilt in 1974 and repainted dark green. It was part of the advertisement in promotion of the “Take Stock in America” campaign, receiving the “Savings Bonds and Freedom” herald prior to the 1976 bicentennial.
