Description
WITH GREY DECK
These heavyweight depressed-center flat cars are brown with grey deck and white lettering and run on Buckeye trucks. Built in the 1950s for Norfolk & Western, they were later painted for Norfolk Southern. These cars have a maximum weight of 394,000 pounds and are used to transport bulky and heavy industrial loads, such as electrical transformers and construction equipment. The depressed center allows for a few feet of additional vertical clearance.
