Description
This 50’ standard box car with double doors is green with yellow and white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in the early 1940s and rebuilt in July 1963, this car was used to advertise the Agency for International Development’s ‘Bulgur for Brazil – Food for Peace’ campaign, in association with Kansas wheat farmers. Founded in 1859, Santa Fe was one of the largest railroads in North America up until 1996, when it merged with Burlington Northern to form BNSF.
