One of the most popular engines in the “70” series, the SD70M from Kato USA will be arriving in new road numbers and new paint scheme variations at the end of April 2023 for early May delivery This delivery will include Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific “Flat Radiator” engines as well as Union Pacific SD70M #4015 which is used in Excursion services alongside the “Big Boy.” Unique to this unit are its silver trucks and green anti-glare paint on the short hood, both designed to match the UP heritage equipment.
