Description
This 3-bay covered hopper with elongated hatches is grey with black lettering and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built by American Car & Foundry in June 1965, it belonged to a 20-car series. Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe was a large Class 1 railroad chartered in 1859. By the mid-1950s, it had a rail network of over 13,000 miles, and operated a vast array of both freight and passenger services. In 1996, ATSF merged with Burlington Northern to create BNSF.
