These Chapel Cars represent a selection of traveling churches on rails. Railcar churches journeyed throughout the western United States from the late 1800s through the early 1900s. They carried men and women of God willing to endure hardships for the sake of delivering faith and religion to areas with large numbers of unchurched people.
