Description
CNW® is a registered trademark of the Union Pacific Railroad.
This 83’ 10-1-2 heavyweight sleeper car is yellow with green roof and runs of 6-wheel passenger car trucks. Built in 1917, then later named Clan Gordon in 1934, it was repainted in 1953 into the yellow and green scheme. Today, C&NW is now part of Union Pacific, exclusively a freight railroad with over 32,000 miles of track, but prior to 1971, C&NW operated numerous passenger trains and services.
