Built in the 1910s, this outside braced boxcar with Bettendorf trucks was serviced in 1958 at the Marshalltown Shops and featured the large “Route of the 400” logo. Founded in 1859, the Chicago & North Western quickly grew into a large Class 1 railroad headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
