These SW1500 locomotives are grey with a red deck and white lettering and run on Flexicoil trucks. Built in 1971 for Cotton Belt in an order of 8 units, these switchers replaced an aging fleet of Alcos, Baldwins, and early EMDs, and were used in both yard and transfer service throughout the carriers’ terminal areas. These road numbers belong to one of the final orders Cotton Belt placed for SW1500s.
