Description
DRGW® is a registered trademark of the Union Pacific Railroad.
These 50’ standard box cars with plug door and no roofwalk are aluminum, orange and black and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1965 for D&RGW, these cars featured innovations that simplified loading and unloading, like movable bulkheads and sidewall fillers, and continued to serve through the mid-1980s. They also featured hydracushion underframes, giving the car a smoother ride during rough coupling.
