Built in 1951, this steel side offset-cupola caboose was shopped in the early 1980s and repainted into the D&RGW “The Action Road” paint scheme. D&RGW was formed in 1870 and operated the highest mainline railroad in the United States through the Colorado Rockies at an altitude of 10,240 feet.
