Ex-Per Diem Car #5
This Pacific Car and Foundry-built 50’ boxcar with Barber Roller Bearing trucks dates to 1979, and is 5,317 cubic feet in capacity. Originally belonging to Per-Diem owner Berlin Mills Railway, it was later obtained by East Erie Commercial Railway. It continued in revenue service through the 2000s. Owned by General Electric, EEC is based in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was founded in 1907. EEC owns a large fleet of general service railcars that can be seen traversing the rail network across the country.
