Description
This 33’ twin bay hopper with offset sides is black with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in October, 1931 for Great Northern Railway and belonging to a 500 car series, it had a 2,160 cubic foot capacity. Initially, it was used for coal and aggregate loading, then toward the end of its revenue service in the 1960s and 70s, it was used in sugar beet service before being retired in the late 1970s.
