Description
This 50’ standard box car with 10’ single door, no roofwalk, and short ladders is orange with black lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1967, this 50’ box car was shopped and repainted in 1977 into the new ICG “Rail” logo paint scheme. Illinois Central Gulf was formed after the merger of Gulf, Mobile & Ohio and the Illinois Central in 1972. Eventually, Canadian National purchased the railroad in 1998.
