Description
This 78’ heavyweight single-window coach is maroon with buff lettering and runs on 6-wheel heavyweight passenger car trucks. Built in May 1918 by Bethlehem Steel, this car belonged to a series of 74 cars. It was used by Norfolk & Western in revenue service until 1964 when it was sold to Pennsylvania Railroad. Norfolk & Western was a Class 1 railroad which operated on the east coast from 1838 till 1982. It then combined with Southern Railway to form Norfolk Southern.
