CSX® FAMILY TREE SERIES #7
This 40’ box car with Bettendorf trucks was built for the Louisville & Nashville at part of a 250-car series. The L&N was a Class I railroad with just over 6,000 miles of track across the South-east US, before being merged into Seaboard System in the early 1980s. Seaboard Air Line merged with Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1967, forming the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, which was then renamed Seaboard System in 1982.
