Tidewater Southern® is a registered trademark of the Union Pacific Railroad.
This 50’ standard box car with single door is brown with yellow lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built for the Tidewater Southern in July 1955 by Pullman-Standard at their Michigan City, Indiana factory. The Tidewater Southern was formed in 1910 and ran from central California to points south. It was purchased by Western Pacific in 1917 and continued as a subsidiary through the 1970s before being rolled into Union Pacific.
