This 80,000 pound capacity 40’ wood sheathed reefer with Bettendorf trucks was built in 1913 for the New York Central & Hudson River, known as the New York Central Line, and was used for dairy and egg service. The New York Central & Hudson River was known as the “Water Level Route” as its main line ran along the Hudson River, the Mohawk River, and along the lines of Lake Ontario and Erie.
